Phantom Fury Quick Draw Pistol Competition

PF will be putting on a quick draw pistol competition at Summer Slaughter 2012 called “The Quick and The Dead” We did an impromptu version of this at Pacifica Wars II and thought it would be fun to make it more organized.

The event will take place on Saturday sometime after the lunch and raffle between 1PM and 4PM. Exact time and location on the field will be determined the day of the event.

Cost to enter is just $1.

Prizes are bragging rights as well as a certificate awarded to the final two shooters, The Quick -WINNER and The Dead – LOOSER. We will also post an elimination bracket on our web site and provide a link on AP.

Game Play
We will draw the names of the shooters from a hat to
determine who faces who. The name of the winner will go back into the drawing for the next round and the loser is out.

Shooters will start back to back and the pace off to a safe distance called by the referee, about 20’. The referee will call hold, ready and then FIRE. At the command to FIRE the shooters will draw their pistols, turn and shoot their opponent.

This is a game of honor and so we expect the shooters to call their hit, first one hit is out. We will have admins at each shooter location to help and their decision will be final.

General Rules
All general Airsoft rules apply.
Each shooter will be allowed only 3 BB’s. If there is no hit within 3 shots, both shooters are out.

A shooter cannot touch their pistol until the command “FIRE” is given. If a shooter touches their pistol before the command “FIRE” the shooter is out.

We would prefer to limit the play to Green Gas pistols only, HOWEVER if you do have a CO2, we can chrono it and it must be shooting below 350FPS with .20 or 320FPS with .25. We will allow springer’s if you dare!

Pistols must somehow be secured to your body by a holster, in a pocket or waist band. You cannot be holding them.

You must remain standing, no taking a knee to shoot.
Eye protection is a given and face and mouth protection is strongly recommended.

More info will be available at Summer Slaughter, so please hold any questions for now. We are making this up as we go.

Bystanders are allowed as long as they are wearing eye protection and are not disruptive.

This is intended to be fun and new experience. Lets all work to make that happen.
